This year there is even more incentive with a $5.00 parking fee for vehicles. in 2008, the City of Oxnard, awarded the Festival with the WasteWatch award for their remarkable green efforts. With live entertainment, an award-winning Fine Arts & Crafts showcase with over 300 artisans, contests, free attractions, and more the heralded weekend event has something special for everyone. Loving Kindness Meditation - Celebrating Mother’s Day

Description:  Loving Kindness (or compassion) is a value common to all spiritual traditions.  It is the love that a mother gives a newborn child … an encompassing, deep feeling that is boundless, nurturing, and most importantly, unconditional. What would the world be like if we could direct this quality of love to everyone in our life, even those teachers who incite anger and annoyance within us?
Ancient Buddhist teachers would assign this meditation to students who experienced uncontrolled anger with the awareness that patterns can change.  Current research in neuroplasticity support this practice … the brain is capable of growth throughout our lives.
This meditation will be guided … all you need to do it show up, follow the instructions, and open your heart.  Bring your friends and loved ones to be touched by the collective, transformative energy of loving kindness.
Please RSVP through the calendar on www.integrative-insight.com or by calling Meenal at 805-504-6640.
